Santo Antão hosts first training course for hiking tour guides

Ribeira Grande, 27 May (Inforpress) - The Cabo Verde Tourism Institute (ITCV) began the first training course for adventure guides in Santo Antão this week, with a focus on hiking tourism.

The information was published in a statement on the ITCV's official Facebook page.

According to the statement, the action is part of the Assistance and Support Project for Hiking Tourism in Cabo Verde, which has the technical and consultative support of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), a leading international organisation in the adventure tourism sector.

According to the same source, the training aims to prepare local professionals to respond to the growing demand for ecotourism experiences, at a time when the country is stepping up its commitment to this segment.
