Santo Antão: African community is ‘well integrated’ in the municipality of Porto Novo – representative

Porto Novo, May 26 (Inforpress) - The president of the Association of Foreign Residents in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, Malam Turé, assured today that the West African community is well integrated in this municipality.

Malam Turé, who was speaking to Inforpress on the occasion of the Africa Day celebrations in Porto Novo, marked by a convivial dinner with the municipal executive, praised the contribution that the community is making to the development process in the municipality and said that the citizens are ‘well integrated’ into Porto Novo society.

"We are well integrated. We chose Porto Novo to live in and we don't have any problems in terms of integration," said the president of the association, for whom the community is contributing to the development of the municipality.

Malam Turé said that the documentation problem has been overcome, but families need to enrol children born in Porto Novo in school.
