Ribeira Grande de Santiago: MpD gives negative assessment to activity report and management account

Praia, May 29 (Inforpress) - The leader of the MpD municipal group in the Municipal Assembly of Ribeira Grande de Santiago said today that his party has a negative assessment of the city council's activity report and management account for 2024.

Nilton Livramento made these statements to the press on the sidelines of the second ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of Ribeira Grande de Santiago, saying that the local authority's execution rate last year was “very low”.

"We have an execution rate of, for example, 0% for the youth area, 0% for the environment area. We have works that weren't budgeted for, for example, the Calabaceira road, which hasn't even been completed. There's also the road in the Alto Gouveia area that hasn't been budgeted for", he pointed out.

He also pointed out that the local authority has not carried out the requalification of urban and environmental sectors, the seafront, the construction of adjustments to the cemetery in Cidade Velha and the refurbishment of the João Varela multipurpose center, among others.
