Praia, Jun 30 (Inforpress) – The president of the Scientific Council of the International Institute of the Portuguese Language (CC-IILP), Abigail Cosme, said today that although the projects for 2026 may not have the "desired scope", they will have a "great impact" on the promotion of the Portuguese language.
The statement was made to the press, in Praia, on the sidelines of the XXI Ordinary Meeting of the IILP Scientific Council, which aims to approve and assess fundamental documents for the life of the organization.
Abigail Cosme explained that the main aim of this meeting is to approve the budget and the plan of activities for 2026, a document that she considers vital for the projects presented and for the continuity of initiatives aimed at teachers, students and the organisation itself, to find out where things stand
‘We are here to bring together the CPLP countries, the member states that also belong to the IILP, so that we can also analyse the life of the International Portuguese Language Institute,’ she said.
