Praia, Apr 20 (Inforpress) – The president of the Carlos Albertino Veiga Foundation is attending, from today until Wednesday the 22nd, the Global Sustainable Islands Summit 2026, taking place in the Canary Islands, bringing a strategic vision focused on the ocean and the future of islands.
According to the organisers, Paulo Veiga will be one of the keynote participants, joining an international roundtable where he will share his experience as former Minister of the Sea and his perspective on the role of small island states in the global context.
He will also serve as keynote speaker at the opening of one of the summit’s central sessions, in recognition of his contribution to the debate on the ocean and sustainability.
During his intervention, he is expected to advocate placing the ocean at the centre of public policies, not only as an economic resource but as a structuring element of island societies.
