Porto Novo/São João: Soraia Ramos, Gary and Trakinuz confirmed for the patron saint festivities

Porto Novo, May 14 (Inforpress) - Today, the city council of Porto Novo announced Soraia Ramos, Gary and Trakinuz as some of the musical artists whose presence has been confirmed for the São João 2025 festivities in the municipality of Porto Novo, on the island of Santo Antão.

Elisa Pinheiro, the mayor who made the announcement, said that Soraia Ramos, Gary and Trakinuz are part of a range of artists who have already been confirmed for the 2025 São João festivities in the municipality of Porto Novo, which this year will bring ‘big surprises’ in terms of the programme.

The official opening of the patron saint's festivities takes place on 1 June, with the traditional dawn, followed by a children's São João parade.

This year, the city council is proposing ‘a strong line-up’ for three days of dancing at the old football stadium (21, 22 and 23 June) and a dance on 24 June at the 5 de Julho venue, while also promising to grant licences for the traditional terrace dances.
