Porto Novo: Ribeira Fria–Ribeira dos Bodes road to be completed in 2027 – minister

Porto Novo, 27 Aug (Inforpress) – Construction works on the road linking Ribeira Fria and Ribeira dos Bodes, in the municipality of Porto Novo, on Santo Antão island, are expected to be completed in 2027, according to Minister of Infrastructure Carlos Tavares.

Started in 2024, this project should be in the completion phase, according to the minister, who promises “a new phase” in the execution of the work, which will be ready in the near future..

During a site visit as part of his stay in Santo Antão, the Minister of Infrastructure said he had issued instructions to improve the implementation plan and speed up the progress of the works.

"We are going to have to accelerate the work. The Government will definitely accompany and guarantee a new phase in the execution of the project," noted this governor, who said he hopes to deliver to the communities next year.
