
Porto Novo, Feb 03 (Inforpress) – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is collaborating with the Ministry of Education to improve the operating conditions of three schools in the interior of the municipality of Porto Novo, on the island of Santo Antão.
A statement accessed by Inforpress indicates that the schools of Catano, Alto Mira and Martiene, all part of School Cluster III, are being equipped with bathrooms and will also receive freezer units.
This project, which aims to “improve infrastructure conditions and the well-being of students and teachers”, results from a partnership between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Ministry of Education, through School Cluster III, based in Ribeira das Patas.
During a recent visit to Porto Novo, the Minister of Education highlighted investments made in recent years to improve the municipality’s school infrastructure and announced the mobilisation of resources for the modernisation of the former preparatory school complex and the rehabilitation of the schools of Lombo de Figueira and Segundo Povoado de Alto Mira.
