Praia, May 20 (Inforpress) – The leader of the parliamentary group of the African Party for the Independence of Cabo Verde (PAICV, opposition) said today, in a press conference, that there have been no improvements in the country, while showing concern about transport.
João Baptista Pereira took stock of the main issues addressed in the preparatory session for the second plenary session of May, which will take place from Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd, with the highlight being the monthly debate with the Prime Minister on transparency and development.
The same source considered that there is a “virtuous” relationship that can exist between transparency and development, that is, “the more transparent the governance, the more developed the country becomes”.
“That is why we are going to confront the Government with a set of issues in which we understand that, eventually, transparency problems are at the root of the lack of success in development results”, alleged the parliamentary leader of the PAICV.
