City Praia, October 31 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Justice highlighted today that public investment in Justice has “increased consistently” and indicated that between 2021 and 2025 the sector benefited from a cumulative growth of over 40% in the budget.
Joana Rosa, speaking during the parliamentary debate on the state of the justice system, said that this financial reinforcement has reflected not only into new hires, but also into salary improvements and the strengthening of the technical and logistical resources available in the courts and other judicial institutions.
The governor stated that in the last two years alone, 14 new prosecutors, 12 assistant judges, and seven full judges have been recruited, in addition to 48 court officers in the Public Prosecutor's Office and 52 in the judicial magistracy, with a competition underway to recruit a further 25 court officers for the courts.
She emphasized that these investments confirm the Government's commitment to valuing human capital and ensuring dignified conditions for the exercise of judicial functions.
