Praia, Nov 11 (Inforpress) – The Movement for Democracy (MpD, ruling party) has described the 2026 State Budget, valued at 95.6 billion escudos, as an instrument to consolidate macroeconomic stability, promote social justice, and foster inclusion.

The statement was made today by Isa Miranda, vice-president of the MpD parliamentary group, during a press conference held to review preparations for the first plenary session of November.

The session, which begins on Wednesday, November 12, includes on its agenda the general debate and approval of the 2026 State Budget bill, as well as a discussion with the Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

According to Miranda, the 2026 budget rests on three main pillars: diversification of the national economy, consolidating growth with social justice, and strengthening the role of the welfare state while promoting sustainable and inclusive development.
