Praia, 2 October (Inforpress) – Today, the president of the MpD, Paulo Veiga, described the first 100 days of the government headed by Francisco Carvalho (PAICV) as a period of “profound disorganisation” and one in which no answers had been provided to families and economic sectors.

At a press conference to assess the government’s first 100 days in office, the leader of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) focused his criticism on the energy crisis on the island of Fogo, rising fuel prices, agriculture, fisheries and maritime transport.

“The past 100 days have been marked by deep disorganization and a lack of solutions for families, fishermen, taxi drivers and farmers, while the people of Brava continue to wait for their ship,” Paulo Veiga said.

He said that the energy crisis in Fogo, which left communities on the islands without electricity for prolonged periods, highlighted, in his view, the lack of preventive measures and of information for the local population.
