Mosteiros: City council presents preliminary project to promote immigrant entrepreneurship at 5ª Semana d’África (5th Africa Week)

São Filipe, May 23 (Inforpress) - The municipality of Mosteiros kicked off the fifth edition of Africa Week on Wednesday 21 with the presentation of the preliminary project to promote immigrant entrepreneurship.

This is an initiative that aims to encourage and support the immigrant community, especially the African community, in developing business ideas, formalizing economic activities and integrating into the local economic fabric.

The preliminary draft, according to a publication by the Mosteiros municipality, aims to gather contributions from the African community living in Mosteiros to improve the document, which will be finalized shortly.

The main objectives of the preliminary draft include encouraging immigrants to set up their own businesses, organising informal activities within legal frameworks, and promoting financial autonomy and professional integration of immigrants in the municipality.
