Minister of the Sea in Senegal with blue economy at the centre of the agenda

Praia, Jul 2 (Inforpress) - The Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, is in Senegal for a five-days mission where he will discuss with his Senegalese counterpart issues related to the blue economy and cooperation in the maritime sector.

During his stay in the Senegalese capital, Jorge Santos will take part in the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Subregional Fisheries Commission (CSRP), as well as the conference of ministers in the sector.

According to a press release sent to Inforpress, Santos will hold a working meeting with the Japanese ambassador who is based in Cabo Verde but resides in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

The government official, the note adds, is taking part with the Cape Verdean community based in Senegal in the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Cabo Verde's independence.
