Minister Highlights Impact of Sports Medicine on National Sports Development

Cidade da Praia, Jan 30 (Inforpress) – The Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Minister for Youth and Sports, Carlos Monteiro, stated today that sports medicine is a fundamental area for the development of national sports, highlighting its positive impact on the country’s sporting landscape.

The official was speaking at the ceremony for the awarding of certificates to doctors of the Therapeutic Use Authorization Commission (CAUT), within the framework of the First Postgraduate Course in Sports Medicine.

Carlos Monteiro congratulated the four trained professionals and assured the continuity of specialized professional training in Cabo Verde, announcing the opening of enrollment for specialized training courses in sports-related fields in October.

“Therefore, the training for which we are symbolically awarding certificates today fits within this framework of ensuring professionals in all areas related to sports, and sports medicine is obviously a fundamental area for the success and development of our sports,” he specified.
