Medical oxygen plants to begin operations in September with a high-quality product – official

Lisbon, 5 August (Inforpress) – The medical oxygen production plants installed at the hospitals in Praia and São Vicente are due to come into operation in September, producing high-quality oxygen in accordance with the standards of the European Pharmacopoeia, the Portuguese company Ultra Controlo confirmed today.

In an interview with Inforpress, the chief executive (CEO) of Ultra Controlo, Sabino Pompeia, stated that the oxygen produced by PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) plants fully complies with the quality parameters stipulated by the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur.) for 93 per cent (%) medical oxygen.

The guarantee has been introduced to address concerns raised by companies in the sector in Cabo Verde regarding the quality of the product to be produced at local healthcare facilities.

‘The oxygen produced by our plants fully complies with the quality standards set by the European Pharmacopoeia for 93 per cent medical oxygen,’ he assured.
