Maio: Organization expects "great success" at 10th edition of Garoupa e Poesia Night

Porto Inglês, Aug 27 (Inforpress) – The organization of the 10th edition of the Night of Garoupa e Poesia expects a “great success” from the event, which takes place on Saturday, 29, in the city of Porto Inglês, with gastronomy, poetry and music.

Under the motto “Celebration of traditions, flavors and friendship”, the event aims to value poetry and garoupa as elements of culture and gastronomy of the island, through the tasting of different foods, accompanied by music and literature.

The chairman of the Associação Pró-Morro, Agostinho Silva, which is organising the event, is expecting a large turnout from the people of Maio and visitors, particularly those from the island of Santiago.

““We hope to see the usual turnout from the people of Maio, but also lots of people coming over from the island of Santiago to sample our dishes,” he said, assuring that the restaurants already have enough grouper to meet demand.
