
Praia, Mar 02 (Inforpress) – The vice-president of the Japan Karate Shoto Federation of Cabo Verde, Elton Mascarenhas, gave a positive assessment this Sunday of the fifth edition of the JKS Tournament, included in the 2025/2026 calendar, which will allow athletes to participate in the next World Karate Championship in Brazil.
Speaking to Inforpress after the 5th Karate Tournament, Elton Mascarenhas explained that the event counted on the participation of 30 athletes from the Cape Verdean Karate Center (CCK), a school officially registered with JKS.
According to the official, the competition is part of ongoing work to develop the sport in the regional sports area.
“It is work that we have been developing over the years, with firm and solid steps for the growth of karate in our region,” he stressed.
