Praia, 09 May (Inforpress) - The re-elected president of the AAV-CV, Marvela Rodrigues, today highlighted the instability of internal flights as the ‘main obstacle’ to the development of inter-island tourism, thus jeopardising the growth of the sector and tourism projects.
‘At the moment, our main concern is to solve this problem, which has been going on for a long time,’ said the president of the Association of Cabo Verde Travel Agencies (AAV-CV), emphasising that the lack of regular flights between the islands hinders the growth of domestic tourism.
‘We can't talk about or move forward with an internal tourism project without having solved this problem of flights,’ he added
Marvela Rodrigues emphasised that the archipelago has the potential to expand tourism beyond the islands of Sal and Boa Vista, but ‘the lack of air links limits the opportunities’.
