Mindelo, May 22 (Inforpress) - The Instituto do Mar (IMar), in São Vicente, aims to stimulate the transfer of knowledge, technological research and innovation, carried out within the scope of the blue economy, for public and private companies.
The information was provided to Inforpress by the representative of the Technological Development Department of IMar, Elísia da Cruz, regarding the presentation of two studies resulting from the project “Strengthening national capacities in the field of innovation and research to promote the blue economy”, which lasted three years.
According to Elísia da Cruz, knowledge transfer is the main objective of these studies, because it was found that the knowledge that is developed and all the research is sometimes not transmitted in the correct way or is not put into practice by the business sector.
“We have several initiatives and several institutions that are working on research, but sometimes there is still a deficiency in the transmission of this knowledge”, he added.
