Praia, Oct 23 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean men's handball team leaves on Monday, the 27th, to Luanda, Angola, where it will participate in an International Tournament to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the host country's Independence, reported the Cape Verdean Handball Federation (FCA).

The technical team, led by coach Ljubomir Obradovic, closed the call-up, which will be reinforced with the inclusion of four athletes from the national championship, Anderson Correia (Garridos de São Domingos), Celso Barros and Carlos Chantre (ASA Stars) and Carlos da Silva (Graciosa do Tarrafal).

“It is a source of pride to see national talent join the group that will represent Cape Verde in this international tournament,” the federation stated.

The competition, which is part of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of Angolan independence, will take place from October 29 to November 1, at the Kilamba Arena.
