Government confirms replacement of TACV's chairman of the board of directors

Cidade da Praia, 3 September (Inforpress) – Pedro Barros, the chairman of the board of directors of TACV - Cabo Verde Airlines, will be replaced by decision of the Government, which aims to strengthen the efficiency and performance of the company, confirmed the Minister of Tourism and Transport.

In an interview with Jornal da Noite on Cape Verdean Television (TCV), (Cabo Verde Television's (TCV) evening news programme,) José Luís Sá Nogueira clarified that Pedro Barros' departure was not a resignation, but an agreement as part of a broader reorganization of the company's governance.

‘Pedro Barros did not resign; what has happened is that there is an agreement to change the company's governance,’ said the minister.

José Luís Sá Nogueira also assured that the change is not limited to the presidency, as the board of directors will also be subject to changes.
