Football/Santo Antão Sul: Marítimo's new board promises to rebuild the club and focus on youth development.

Porto Novo, Sept. 27 (Inforpress) – The new management team of Clube Sportivo Marítimo do Porto Novo, in Santo Antão Sul—elected this Saturday, the 26th—has pledged to revitalize the club and focus on youth development to ensure the sports organization's sustainability.

The new board, chaired by João Silva, has made it a priority to create the conditions for Marítimo’s return to official competitions in Santo Antão Sul, starting as early as the 2026–2027 season.

João Silva told Inforpress that the reorganisation of the club, which has been absent from competitions for two seasons, and the focus on youth development through the creation of a football academy are the main challenges facing his team, which has been elected for a two-year term.
