Football/Santo Antão Sul: Coach Gunga Fonseca honored by Sanjoanenses fans

Porto Novo, May 19 (Inforpress) – Fans of the Os Sanjoanenses Football Club paid tribute on Sunday, the 18th, to the football team's coach, Gunga Fonseca, for his contribution to the growth of this sports club over the last three seasons.

The tribute took place at the end of the Sanjoanenses – Botafogo game, which took place at the Porto Novo Municipal Stadium, counting towards the fifth round of the national football championship, and which ended in a draw (0-0).

In a message addressed to the Sanjoanenses coach, the club's fans recognized the "excellent results" achieved by the club in the last three seasons in which Gunga Fonseca has been in charge of the team and wished that the coach continues "to bring joy" to the fans.

In these three seasons managing the Sanjoanenses football team, Gunga Fonseca, 47 years old, has achieved, among other achievements, three regional championships and is in a good position to qualify, for the first time, this team for the semi-finals of the national championship, needing only a draw in the next and final round.
