São Filipe, May 16 (Inforpress) - The island of Fogo and the Rombo Islets will host regional training on seabird monitoring and threat management from 19 to 23 May.
The initiative, according to a press release from the Vitó Project Association, which monitors seabirds on the island and islets, brings together experts and conservation professionals from across the West and North African region.
The training is part of the initiative ‘Together for seabirds: a regional network of co-creation and learning in action’, led by BirdLife International - Marine Programme, in partnership with the Vitó Project Association.
The aim of the regional training is to strengthen the technical and operational capacities of professionals working in seabird conservation in West and North Africa, in the context of the Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem (CCLME).
