Praia, Apr 24 (Inforpress) - First Lady Débora Katisa Carvalho defended today, in Praia, the importance of a deep reflection on the education model for boys in the country in order to combat social imbalances.

These statements were made to the press, on the sidelines of his visit to the Armed Forces Pupil Center (CPFA), a service delivery body focused on social support, designed to welcome, educate and instruct children and adolescents.

Débora Carvalho expressed real concern about the data pointing to the greater vulnerability of boys.

“When you analyse the numbers, we see that the prison population is mostly male, that it's boys who leave school early, that it's boys who are most associated with phenomena of violence or social disturbance,” she said.
