CNAD honors Vasco Martins by naming its multi-purpose courtyard after him and premiering a film.

Mindelo, July 6 (Inforpress) – The National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD) will hold a tribute to the Cape Verdean composer, musician and poet Vasco Martins on Friday, July 10, in Mindelo, in a ceremony dedicated to celebrating his life, work and legacy.

The event takes place from 6:00 PM onwards at the CNAD facilities, and one of its central moments is the naming of the institution's multipurpose courtyard after Vasco Martins, which will now be called the Vasco Martins Courtyard.

The program also includes a musical performance, institutional speeches, and the "Vasco Among Friends" segment, a conversation dedicated to the artistic, intellectual, and personal journey of the honoree.

The session also includes the premiere of the documentary "The Coriolis Effect", directed by Corinne van Egeraat and Petr Lom, in collaboration with Vasco Martins.
