Praia, May 27 (Inforpress) - Heidy Teixeira, president of the Cape Verdean Association of Pharmacists, revealed on Monday that it is in the interest of Portugal and Cabo Verde to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the area of pharmaceutical specialisation, with continuous training.
Speaking to Inforpress after a meeting with her counterpart from Portugal, who is visiting Cabo Verde, Heidy Teixeira said that since there had been co-operation for many years, the meeting served to strengthen this friendship and outline projects of common interest.
'“As part of the protocols that have been signed and the projects that have been worked on so far, we'll look at the possibility of signing protocols further down the line, in other words, what can be utilised and worked on,” said Heidy Teixeira.
This partnership, he said, could be at the level of continuing training for the pharmaceutical profession and working with governments to strengthen legislation so that pharmaceutical action has a ‘legal framework’ that allows it to ‘take advantage’ of what the pharmaceutical profession offers.
