
Praia City, 17 Nov (Inforpress) – The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia, is participating today and Tuesday, the 18th, in a high-level mini-summit on digital technology in West and Central Africa, in Cotonou (Benin).
According to a statement received by Inforpress, the initiative is organized by the World Bank Group in partnership with the Government of Benin and focuses on accelerating digital transformation to foster growth and create jobs.
The summit brings together officials responsible for Digital and Financial portfolios from 22 countries in the region.
Also participating are representatives from the African Union, the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), AES, the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), the private sector, civil society, youth, and technical and financial partners.
