Cabo Verde and Angola want to relaunch bilateral co-operation on the sea sector

Praia, Jul 2 (Inforpress) - Today, Cabo Verde and Angola expressed their intention to relaunch bilateral cooperation in the field of the sea, with a special focus on scientific training, research, staff training and the sustainability of ocean ecosystems.

This desire was expressed on Tuesday during a meeting between Angola's new ambassador to Cabo Verde, Agostinho Tavares da Silva, and the Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, as part of the strengthening of friendly relations and co-operation between the two countries.

‘It was my first meeting with a member of the Cape Verdean government after the letters of credence were handed over, and it was a very positive meeting,’ said the Angolan diplomat.

He said that during the meeting, issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed, particularly with regard to the agreements and protocols signed in the sector of fisheries.
