Business turnover registers nominal year-on-year change of 0.8% in the first quarter of 2025

Praia, 09 Jun (Inforpress) - Today, the National Statistics Institute (INE) announced that the Services Sector Activity Indicators revealed that the turnover index registered a nominal year-on-year change of 0.8 per cent in the first quarter of 2025.

According to INE, the full-time and total employment indices recorded year-on-year variations of 4.5 per cent and 3.9 per cent respectively, while the gross wage index grew by 3.5 per cent year-on-year.

In quarterly terms, the services turnover index fell by 6.5 per cent.

The sections of transport, storage and accommodation and catering made the most significant contributions to the change in the aggregate index (1.0 p.p. and 1.5 p.p.), as a result of changes of 10.3 per cent and 6.0 per cent respectively.
