Basketball/World Cup 2027: Cabo Verde make their debut today against Tunisia in the fourth qualifying window

Praia City, Aug 27 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean senior men's basketball team will begin, in front of hosts Tunisia, in the fourth round of qualification for the 2027 FIBA ​​World Championship, in a game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Cabo Verde.

The game marks the beginning of Cabo  Verde's participation in this fourth round of qualification, which runs from August 27 to 30, in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and places two teams from Group E of the African qualification for the Qatar 2027 World Cup face to face.

Cabo Verde will have three games on this January, starting today against Tunisia, followed by the confrontation with Guiné-Conacri, on the sixth game, and the last game against Nigeria, on Sunday.

In the run-up to this international break, the team had been based in the city of Praia since 17 August, holding their final training session on the 24th before travelling to Tunisia.
