Basketball/2027 World Cup Qualifiers: Cabo Verde debuts Thursday against Cameroon in Tunisia

Praia, 25 Nov (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde’s senior men’s national basketball team makes its debut on Thursday, 27 November, in the first qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup, facing Cameroon in the opening match of Group A in Radès, Tunisia.

The matchup between the Cabo Verdean and Tunisian teams will be held at the Radès Multi-Purpose Arena at 9 Am local time. Three hours later, the venue will host the other group match between South Sudan and Libya. The first FIBA World Cup qualifying window runs from 27 to 30 November.

Cabo Verde returns to the court on Friday, 28 November, for the second-round game against South Sudan, followed by the match between Libya and Morocco.

The Blue Sharks conclude this first phase on Saturday, 30 November, against Libya, immediately after the match between Cameroon and South Sudan.
