Praia, May 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the African Communities Platform said today that Cabo Verde has established itself as “a welcoming country”, creating favourable conditions for the social inclusion and integration of the different African communities residing in the archipelago.

José Viana, speaking to Inforpress within the framework of Africa Day celebrations, observed today, May 25, under the theme “Africa in Motion: Migration, Integration and Development”, also stated that the African community living in Cabo Verde is “well received” in the country, highlighting the atmosphere of coexistence, integration and unity among African peoples.

According to the same source, in Cabo Verde the ethnic and tribal differences that exist in some African countries are not reflected in the daily coexistence among foreign citizens residing in the country.

“Here we perceive healthy coexistence among people, based on respect, humanisation and solidarity,” he said.
