Uni-CV’s first Employment Fair promotes closer ties between students and the labour market

Praia, May 18 (Inforpress) –Today, the School of Business and Governance (ENG) of Uni-CV held its first employment fair in partnership with the Portugal-Cape Verde Business Council (CEP-CV), with the aim of bringing students closer to internship and employment opportunities.

According to the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), the event marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between academia and the Portuguese-Cape Verdean business community, seeking to strengthen the link between higher education and the real needs of the labour market.

The initiative enables students to learn about fields of activity, the most sought-after professional profiles, and internship and employment opportunities offered by participating companies.

While presiding over the event, rector Astrigilda Silveira stressed that the initiative represents a reinforcement of the connection between higher education and the labour market, in a context where knowledge and innovation play a decisive role in the country’s sustainable development.
