Praia, May 15 (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF) reacted today with “great satisfaction” to the United States’ suspension of security deposits for fans holding World Cup tickets, highlighting the facilitation of mobility and support for participating national teams.

Speaking to Inforpress, FCF president Mário Semedo stated that the issue of costs associated with supporters’ travel had always been a central concern for the institution, underlining “the significant financial impact” on many Cape Verdeans.

According to the official, the new guideline represents “an important incentive” for fans to attend stadiums, allowing more people to travel and follow the national team’s matches, provided they possess the appropriate entry visa.

“We received this news with great satisfaction because it will allow people, if they wish, to travel more easily to support the national team,” he said.
