International Seminar discusses climate change impacts and geomorphological risks at Uni-CV

Praia, May 14 (Inforpress) – The University of Cabo Verde will host, from May 26 to 29 in Praia, the international seminar “Science, Territory and Risks”, dedicated to analysing the impacts of climate change and geomorphological risks in vulnerable island territories.

According to information provided to Inforpress, the seminar’s theme is “Decoding the impacts of climate change on territory” and will bring together researchers, technicians and decision-makers from the Macaronesian archipelagos – Cabo Verde, Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands.

The event promotes a space for dialogue, exchange and updating of scientific knowledge, particularly regarding vulnerable island territories.

According to the programme, the opening session will take place on the 26th at the Media Library of the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), featuring an institutional ceremony and a session dedicated to the impacts of climate change and extreme phenomena.
