Arianne Morais strengthens Cabo Verde in javelin throw at African Athletics Championships in Accra

Praia, May 13 (Inforpress) – Javelin thrower Arianne Morais is now eligible to represent Cabo Verde in international competitions, strengthening the national team at the African Athletics Championships taking place from May 12 to 16 in Accra, Ghana.

According to information released by the Cabo Verdean Olympic Committee and the Cabo Verdean Athletics Federation within the framework of the 2026 African Athletics Championships, the Cabo Verdean athlete is now eligible to officially represent the archipelago in international competitions.

The announcement comes as the necessary procedures are underway for the athlete’s travel to the Ghanaian capital, with the aim of joining the national team already present at the competition venue.

An Olympic scholarship holder as part of preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, Arianne Morais will henceforth represent Cabo Verde in all international athletics competitions.
