Cabo Verde Football Federation resumes financial incentives with one million escudos for national champion

Praia, May 5 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde Football Federation is reintroducing this year the system of financial incentives in the national championship, with rewards for wins, draws and final standings that may reach one million escudos for the champion.

The president of the Cabo Verde Football Federation, Mário Semedo, told Inforpress today that the competitive model is not new, having been in place since last season, and that financial incentives had been used previously and are now being reinstated.

“Since last year we have had this new model. It is a model that was tested last year and received positive feedback. We are continuing with the same model,” he stressed.
