Two patients from cruise ship anchored in Praia to be repatriated this Wednesday

Praia, May 5 (Inforpress) – The two patients currently on board the cruise ship anchored in Praia harbour bay are expected to be repatriated this Wednesday, the 6th, to their countries of origin in an operation carried out by air ambulance.

A source from the Cabo Verde Ports Administration Company (Enapor) stated that the transfer process is being prepared in coordination with other national entities, namely the National Directorate of Health, and assured “full safety” in the transfer of the patients from the cruise ship Hondius to Nelson Mandela International Airport in Praia.

Speaking to the press, the National Director of Health stated that, according to medical assessment, the patients are “stable, presenting only mild symptoms and with controlled vital signs”.

The same source further assured that the health team monitoring the situation on board maintains permanent surveillance, ensuring “appropriate clinical follow-up”.
