
Praia, May 5 (Inforpress) –The Prices of imported goods increased by 0.3% in March 2026, representing a rise of 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous month, when a negative variation of 1.2% had been recorded, the National Statistics Institute (INE) reported today.
The information is contained in the External Trade Price Index data released today by the INE.
According to the statistics, in March this year the Import Price Index stood at 122.4, registering an increase of 0.3% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 10.4% compared to March 2025.
In imports, the Core Index decreased by 0.2% and the Volatile Index increased by 1.4% compared to the previous month. Compared to March 2025, the Core and Volatile Indices decreased by 10.5% and 10.1%, respectively.
