Fogo: São Filipe strengthens ties with the diaspora with focus on local investment

São Filipe, Apr 29 (Inforpress) – The mayor of São Filipe, Nuías Silva, highlighted the role of the diaspora in the municipality’s development at the opening of a networking meeting that brought together emigrants, entrepreneurs and partner institutions.

According to the mayor, the initiative, which has become a regular event, aims to create a space for exchange and strengthen the connection between emigrants and their place of origin, promoting investment opportunities.

Nuías Silva stated that the objective is to “connect emigrants with São Filipe”, showcasing opportunities and preparing their return, whether temporary or permanent, with an impact on local development.

The meeting was attended by several institutions that presented products, services and investment support mechanisms, in what the mayor described as a “support ecosystem” for the diaspora.
