Praia, Apr 27 (Inforpress) – The National Director for Foreign Policy and Regional Integration, Carlos Semedo, said today that regional integration should involve citizens, communities, youth and the private sector, and not be limited to governments.
Carlos Semedo was speaking at an awareness session on Vision 2050 and the Early Warning and Response System held this afternoon in Praia.
He stated that the initiative represents an opportunity to strengthen dialogue among national institutions of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and reflect on Cabo Verde’s contribution to deepening regional integration.
According to him, Vision 2050 represents a new stage in the integration process, serving as a strategic framework to guide the organization’s future, with the aim of building a more integrated, prosperous and citizen-centred community.
