INSP calls for strengthened collaboration in scientific research to ensure evidence-based decisions

Praia, Apr 27 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), Maria da Luz Lima, today stressed the need to strengthen institutional collaboration in scientific research to ensure evidence-based decision-making in Cabo Verde’s health system.

She was speaking to the press on the occasion of signing a cooperation protocol with the Agostinho Neto University Hospital (HUAN) in Praia.

The partnership, she explained, will consolidate joint work between two autonomous entities with complementary responsibilities in the health sector.

“There is a need to strengthen this collaboration, for example in scientific research, to reinforce evidence-based decision-making, not only in clinical research but also in public health,” she said.
