During a press conference presenting the results of the surgical mission promoted by the Cape Verdean Medical Association in the United States (CVMS), held since April 10, the official emphasised the importance of international partnerships in meeting the growing demands of the National Health System (SNS), considering the country’s epidemiological and demographic profile.
Evandro Monteiro stressed that, over nearly two weeks, intensive clinical and surgical activities were carried out in various specialties, including Cardiology, Oncology, and subspecialties.
The same source particularly highlighted advances in breast pathology, where innovative approaches were introduced that not only improve clinical outcomes but also reduce the psychological impact of breast cancer on women.
