Fogo: Projecto Vitó Association celebrates 17th anniversary with biodiversity-focused event

São Filipe, Apr 15 (Inforpress) – The Projecto Vitó Association marks the 17th anniversary of its creation with a commemorative event scheduled for April 21, dedicated to biodiversity.

The foundation date of this environmental non-governmental organization is celebrated on April 14, but the organization has scheduled the commemorative event for the 21st at the Padre Pio Gottin Auditorium.

According to a press release, the highlight of the celebration will be the presentation of the documentary “Endemic Flora of Cabo Verde – An Island Treasure”, a production showcasing the richness and uniqueness of the national endemic flora, as well as the importance of its valorisation and conservation.

The programme also includes a panel discussion with partners and guests, focusing on biodiversity in Cabo Verde and the role of Fogo Island as a World Biosphere Reserve, promoting reflection and dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in ecosystem preservation.
