Visual artist highlights importance of new digital platform for cultural sector professionals

Praia, Apr 10 (Inforpress) – The new digital platform for the cultural sector represents “an important step forward” for cultural professionals and facilitates access to documents and services without the need for travel, said visual artist Tutu Sousa.

Speaking to the press today on the sidelines of the presentation ceremony of the digital platform introduced by the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries and presided over by Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, the artist stated that the platform represents added value for professionals in the sector.

“The system will allow professionals in the sector to handle various procedures from their studio or home because they can send a message, fill out a form and access this document,” he said, stressing that digitalisation follows global developments and prevents artists from being “left behind”.

According to Tutu Sousa, the platform may facilitate interaction between artists and institutions, but challenges remain that require regulation and concrete responses.
