Boa Vista: ONTP promotes awareness campaigns on human trafficking

Sal Rei, 7 April (Inforpress) – The National Observatory on Human Trafficking (ONTP) is holding, from this Wednesday, on the island of Boa Vista, a series of awareness-raising activities and institutional meetings aimed at strengthening efforts to prevent and combat human trafficking.

According to a press release from the organisation, the initiative kicks off on the morning of Wednesday 8 April with two sessions at Boa Vista Secondary School in Sal Rei. The first session is scheduled for 09:20, and the second session in the afternoon will be at 14:40, both aimed at school pupils.

Later that same day, ONTP plans to take its activities to the local community, with an awareness-raising event scheduled for 5:30 PM in the former Resettlement Office, located in the "House for All" area, Salinas.

The program in Boa Vista concludes on Thursday, the 9th, with an institutional meeting with the Boa Vista Municipal Council, aimed at coordinating strategies to combat human trafficking at the municipal level.
