Legislative Elections 2026: UCID formalizes candidacy in Santo Antão and sets goal of electing two deputies

Porto Novo, April 7 (Inforpress) – Today, the UCID party formalized its list of candidates for the May 17 legislative elections in the Santo Antão constituency at the Porto Novo District Court, aiming to win two parliamentary seats.

Speaking to Inforpress, the campaign manager, Odair Almeida, stated that the list fully complies with the Parity Law and meets all the legal requirements for the election.

According to the same source, it is a “strong, credible and capable” list, composed of people committed to the problems of the island and the country.

“We are presenting ourselves to the electorate with the purpose of guaranteeing parliamentary representation for Santo Antão, setting as a goal the election of two deputies. Those whom the people entrust to us will be well received, but the objective is to reach the two elected representatives,” he reinforced.
