Praia, April 2 (Inforpress) –Ibrahima Baldé the Senegalese director of training and communication announced today in Praia that Senegal intends to absorb the Cabo Verde's experience to modernize and innovate its electoral system, focusing on the dematerialization of the process.

The intention was expressed during a meeting with the National Elections Commission (CNE), as part of a benchmarking mission that the delegation from the Republic of Senegal is carrying out in the country from March 30 to April 4, aimed at reforms planned for the modernization of its electoral system.

According to Ibrahima Baldé, Cabo Verde was one of the countries chosen by the Senegalese Electoral Administration because it has "vast experience" and credibility in the electoral process in the region.

“We talked about the electoral process, the independence in the governance of the electoral system, the vote of prisoners; all these elements actually constitute the innovation process that we want to implement in Senegal,” the official pointed out, adding that he was “satisfied” with the contacts made.
